Fire in solar cell system
In early 2024, there were approximately 250,000 grid-connected solar cell systems in Sweden, and there will likely be more. The number of solar cell systems is growing, making it hard for the fire and rescue services to stay up to date. This report tells us about an incident outside of Nyköping that was solved in a slightly unusual way. For the purpose of updating MSB’s guidance on fires in solar cell systems, a number of tests were conducted in early September 2024.
